Ruby Green (aka Robyn Green)

Since 2006 when Ruby first picked up a paint brush and started painting in oils, portraits mostly, she has been unable to spend a day or more without indulging in her obsession/passion!
Self taught, and as in past eras, where students learned and practiced their trade, copying the Great Masters, her method has been just this. Consequently her walls are adorned with these (copied) masterpieces, along with family portraits (2 of which have made it to Finalist status in the Mosman Art Prize).
Many other commissions also fill her blissful days.
Has a preference to Black and White, or sepia palette, with an impressionist brushstroke, but always trying different techniques, through trial and error and sheer determination.
Favoured influences have been…Tamara De Lempicka, Modigliani, Russell Drysdale, Degas, Mary Cassatt, and, of course, the genius Picasso.
There is a gene in the family, and in Ruby’s words, she will milk it for all it’s worth, to make up for lost years of not recognising her talent.
Resides in Cremorne, and also the Hunter Valley.
