Marion Langford
Marion began painting in 2000 and has studied with a number of artists including Sarah Mumford initially, for landscapes John Wilson and Warwick Fuller, more recently with Lyn Hammond and Anne Bourne for contemporary art and since January 2010 has been developing her portrait skills with Nafisa Naomi.
Marion chooses to use oils for their richness of character and flexibility, as she loves the vividness of the colours and the moods that can be created by them.
Many of her landscape paintings are inspired from family camping and bushwalking holidays taken to outback Australia; places like Uluru, Kata Juta, the MacDonnell Ranges, the Flinders Ranges, to Darwin and the Northern Territory and also within country Victoria and New South Wales.
As an artist and life coach she continually strives to develop and grow her skills, to ensure her work remains rich and diverse. Her love in working with people now extends to her joy in painting portraits.
Marion is an exhibiting member of the Mosman Art Society as well as the Northern-Expressions group.
